If you think your pet is having an emergency, please call to let our team know about the situation. We also have a veterinarian on call to address emergency-related questions for current patients (seen within the last 12 months for an exam and vaccines). Common Pet Emergencies
Pet emergencies are medical situations that have the potential to be life-threatening. These include:
- Difficulty breathing (choking, gagging, wheezing, panting constantly)
- Possible broken bones and/or internal injuries
- Attacked/bitten by another animal
- Continuous vomiting/diarrhea
- Ingested something toxic
- Non-stop bleeding
- Collapse
- Eye injury
- Seizures
- Acting weak, disoriented, and lethargic
