Janet Smith, CVT
Veterinary Technician/Kennel Manager - Janet serves as the lead technician and has been with PetMed for more than 20 years. Janet is responsible for all aspects of animal medical treatment, surgical care, diagnostic testing and post surgical recovery. In addition to her technical skills, she is an accomplished cat groomer.
Carmen Steiner, CVT
Veterinary Technician - Carmen is a Wisconsin native and a graduate from Madison Area Technical College in the Veterinary Technician program. She is responsible for all aspects of animal medical treatment, surgical care, diagnostics and post surgical recovery. Carmen always has a smile on her face and takes pride in the care she provides for others pet's.
Veterinary Assistant -Angel is a Dubuque native. She has five cats, one dog and two birds. She has completed coursework and an internship to become a full time veterinary assistant. She is responsible for daily patient care and providing assistance in procedures both medical and surgical.
Receptionist- Kat is our full time receptionist but also helps out in kennel care as needed. She ensures the happiness of clients and pets while managing the flow of traffic at the front desk. Kat has three dogs and two cats of her own and enjoys outdoor activities with her dogs.
Groomer - Kelsey is an Iowa native who moved to Dubuque in 2007. She has two dogs and four cats of her own. She loves working in the grooming industry and is always continuing her education. Kelsey has recently gotten into the art of creative grooming and dying her own dogs hair. She loves experimenting with new styles of grooming.
Kennel Attendant - Mandy is from Dubuque. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High then attended Hawkeye Community College. There she earned her degree to become a Veterinary Assistant. Mandy cares for our boarding facility and runs our doggie daycare program ensuring that dogs are well socialized and exercised.
Receptionist - Keysha is a native of Dubuque and graduated from Hempstead High School. She recently also graduated from Clarke University with a bachelor of Science in biology. Keysha enjoys the field so much that she is working on becoming a doctor of veterinary medicine.
