Dr. Alison Johnson
Veterinarian/ Practice Owner
- A 1997 Graduate of Iowa State University Alison is a native to Dubuque who returned after receipt of her DVM. She has special interest in exotic care, small animal endoscopic services and internal medicine. Dr. Johnson purchased the clinic in 1999, striving to offer new services and technology in the changing landscape of modern veterinary medicine.



                     Dr. Robin Mundt
Associate Veterinarian
- Dr. Robin Mundt is also a native to Dubuque who returned after graduating from Iowa State in 2007. If Dr. Mundt looks familiar, it is because she has worked for the company since high school. She has an interest in many aspects of medicine and enjoys researching new ways to treat our furry friends. Dr. Mundt also enjoys equine medicine and is available to see horses by appointment.



                               
 Stephen Muir, DVM
Associate Veterinarian-Raised and educated in Iowa. Stephen has a BS degree in Microbiology from University of Iowa, 1985 DVM degree from Iowa State University. Stephen brings experience including 25 years of veterinary vaccine research and development for pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, Boehringer-Ingelheim and 8 years of clinical research with investigational drugs in human patients with cancer. Stephen has a special interest in infectious diseases including viral and mycoplasma diseases in pets.  






Janet Smith, CVT

Veterinary Technician/Kennel Manager - Janet serves as the lead technician and has been with PetMed for more than 20 years. Janet is responsible for all aspects of animal medical treatment, surgical care, diagnostic testing and post surgical recovery. In addition to her technical skills, she is an accomplished cat groomer. 






Carmen Steiner, CVT

Veterinary Technician Carmen is a Wisconsin native and a graduate from Madison Area Technical College in the Veterinary Technician program. She is responsible for all aspects of animal medical treatment, surgical care, diagnostics and post surgical recovery.  Carmen always has a smile on her face and takes pride in the care she provides for others pet's.


Angel Galle
Veterinary Assistant -Angel is a Dubuque native. She has five cats, one dog and two birds. She has completed coursework and an internship to become a full time veterinary assistant. She is responsible for daily patient care and providing assistance in procedures both medical and surgical.

 

Kelsey Jenkins
Groomer
 Kelsey is an Iowa native who moved to Dubuque in 2007. She has two dogs and four cats of her own. She loves working in the grooming industry and is always continuing her education. Kelsey has recently gotten into the art of creative grooming and dying her own dogs hair. She loves experimenting with new styles of grooming. 
 

Mandy Connor
Kennel Attendant -
Mandy is from Dubuque. She graduated from Dubuque Senior High then attended Hawkeye Community College. There she earned her degree to become a Veterinary Assistant. Mandy cares for our boarding facility and runs our doggie daycare program ensuring that dogs are well socialized and exercised.

Keysha Schmit
Receptionist -
Keysha is a native of Dubuque and graduated from Hempstead High School. She recently also graduated from Clarke University with a bachelor of Science in biology. Keysha enjoys the field so much that she is working on becoming a doctor of veterinary medicine.
